2026 Young Professionals Network (YPN) Committee

The Committee for the Young Professionals Network (YPN) is responsible for planning and coordinating events, educational sessions, networking, and outreach initiatives for the larger YPN membership.

Vice Chair: Lindsey Mikel

This committee is made up of REALTOR® and Affiliate members.

Committee Type: Standing Committee

Committee Composition: The Committee consists of 10 to 15 members and has a chair and co-chair.

Mission Statement: Our mission is to inspire and engage young-at-heart members of the REALTOR® family through association involvement, advocacy, relationship-building, and service to the communities we proudly serve.

Strategic Objectives:

  1. Review assigned topics for the year.
  2. Create a plan of action for each with assigned staff.
  3. Assign who will be responsible for organizing the events and where they should be held.
  4. Present research during quarterly committee meetings with the association.
  5. Solicit projects to membership with the help of assigned staff.

Committee Guidelines:

  1. The committee must follow the mission and values of the organization.
  2. The committee members must be a REALTOR® or Affiliate member of the South Bend Area REALTORS®.
  3. The Committee Chair may serve as Past Chair the following year for consistency.
  4. The committee members’ goal should be to attend all of the sessions.
  5. The committee cannot have a meeting without a quorum of committee members present.
  6. Members are encouraged to attend all meetings, to arrive on time, and stay for the duration of the meetings. If a situation requires their departure, the member will be recorded as absent if not in attendance for at least 1/2 of the meeting.
  7. All members are subject to censure or removal at the direction of the Board of Directors.
  8. The Committee Chair has the authority to create a subcommittee or task force.
  9. The Committee Chair may recommend that the task force or Subcommittee be dissolved once it is determined that the project is complete.
  10. The committee chair(s) will be appointed by the SBAR Board of Directors President.
  11. This committee will work with other committees to plan and organize events.
